Crystagen - Synthesized Immune System Peptide
Crystagen is a dietary supplement with а synthesized peptide of the immune system. It normalizes the function of the immune system by reducing its peptide deficiency and restoring protein synthesis inside its cells.
Crystagen is recommended for everyone whose immune system may be compromised, especially elderly people and those with inflammations or viral and bacterial infections. It is also helpful for people after radiotherapy or chemotherapy, suffering from high stress, heart attack or a stroke, and in the preoperative or postoperative periods of different surgeries.
Crystagen can be easily combined with other supplements and medicines and should be used in addition to conventional medical treatments. Biologically active food supplement Crystagen is a peptide complex containing the following amino acids: proline, glutamine and asparagine, maintaining immune system functions.
Crystagen is manufactured in the form of tablets or capsules each containing 0.100 mg of an active
ingredient. Experimental studies in the thymus organotypic tissue culture showed, that Crystagen is capable of stimulating proliferative and functional activity of the main cellular elements of the tissue culture, reducing spontaneous cell death rate, enhancing regenerative-adaptive processes in proliferating and differentiating cells. Due to the above mechanism, it exerts trophic and stabilizing effect with respect to morphological integrity and regeneration of thymus tissue, and improvin its functions. Pre-clinical experiments in vivo demonstrated that Crystagen application served not only for the improvement in certain indices of tissue and cell homeostasis of immune system cells, but also for normalization of the functions of the immune system as a whole, disturbed under the influence of stress, adverse environmental factors, development of age-related pathology. It is known, that various factors of chemical, physical and biological nature, depending upon the duration or intensity of their impact on human organism, may lead to exhaustion of adaptation and compensatory mechanisms thus causing profound disorders in various segments of the immune system. Pathological disturbances in the immune system facilitate the persistence of diseases with relapses, reduce organism resistance to infections and may result in the development of severe complications. 96 cancer patients subjected to radio- and chemotherapy were enrolled into clinical trials to study the efficacy of Crystagen in optimization of immune system functions. 58 patients from the main group (32 men and 26 women) were prescribed Crystagen 1-2 capsules 2 times a day for 20-30 days (depending on the severity of immune status disorder) in addition to the conventional means of treatment. 38 patients of the control group received only conventional medicne. Study subjects of both groups were aged 48-70 years.
The effectiveness of Crystagen application was estimated both with respect to dynamics of subjective complaints, as well as according to objective indices, i.e. clinical blood and urine examination, biochemical and immunological study of peripheral blood. The results of clinical trials evidenced Crystagen high efficacy in correction of secondary immunodeficiency, developed as a response to extreme factors impact. Crystagen application in combination with symptomatic medications normalized the indices of immune system in 83% of cancer patients subjected to radio- and chemotherapy. The immunological study showed that Crystagen administration resulted in restoration of virtually all registered indices in cancer patients to their normal values, concentration of CD3+ and CD4+ lymphocytes was increased, and the ratio of CD4+ and CD8+ cells in the peripheral blood was normalized.
The majority of patients noted a significant improvement of general status, disappearance of intoxication symptoms, increase of the muscular tonus and appetite improvement. It must be particularly taken into account, that 100% of main group patients were able to undergo a complete course of radio- or chemotherapy (in control group - 79% of patients). In the course of Crystagen clinical trials, no contraindications, complications, side effects or drug addiction was revealed.
